RCI Points Resorts - What Do The Resort Ratings Mean?
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PROSPECTIVE RCI POINTS BUYERS REGARDING RCI RESORT RATINGS:
Ratings or location of your RCI Resort has no effect on the "power" of using your RCI Points. All points are equal and no other points owner has a better chance than you of making reservations. The vast majority of RCI resorts are standard resorts with no rating. The top three ratings are termed Gold Crown, Resort of International Distinction, and Hospitality.
From the RCI Points Directory, here is the RCI wording about the ratings:
"The RCI Gold Crown Resort, Resort of International Distinction, and the RCI Hospitality awards recognize affiliated resorts that provide a consistently superior vacation experience. To receive one of these designations, a resort must meet established quality and service standards." In layman's terms it means that people overall had an above average experience vacationing in these resorts
