Can Guests Use An RCI Points reservation?

One of the most frequest questions we get is, "Can I send a guest to my reservation?"

The answer is yes, by providing your guest with an RCI Guest Certificate.

Guest Certificates are used to make a gift of a reservation to a non-member friend or family member.

For $49 you can place a Guest Certificate on any reservation.

Guests must be at least 21 years old. Some resorts, however, may have higher age requirements.

Once the Guest Certificate is filed with the resort, the resort knows who to expect for check-in and the check-in procedure will go very smoothly.

How to get more than one week of vacation out of RCI Points

RCI points owners typically buy enough points to stay for one week during prime season in a unit of appropriate size to accommodate the number of travelers normally expected. That number of points might be in the range of say 30,000 to 60,000 RCI Points.

However if you use RCI Instant Exchange, it only takes 9,000 points to stay in any size of unit.

How many Instant Exchange weeks can I get per year with my Points?

As many increments of 9000 Points you have available in your Points account.

As an example, lets say you have 36,000 Points to use annually. Divide 36,000 by 9000 and you get 4. So, if you can travel four times per year on a short notice basis, you could get as many as 4 weeks of vacation with your Points.

Do I have to pay additional Maintenance Fees for the weeks I get on Instant Exchanges?

No. That’s one of the most exciting parts about Instant Exchanges. You pay your regular annual maintenance fee, but have the opportunity to get multiple weeks of use per year.

Do I pay additional Exchange Fees?

Yes. When you use your points to vacation at a weeks resort, whether on and Instant Exchange or regular use week, you will pay the required Exchange Fee for each week you use.
