RCI Points : RCI Points Members' Use of RCI Weeks Resorts

Can I choose resorts from the RCI Weeks Directory?

Yes, as an RCI Points Member, you have access to all of the RCI Weeks Resorts. The Points required to stay at weeks resorts are explained at the beginning of the weeks section in every region of the RCI Points Community Guide.

The only difference is that when RCI Points members stay in an RCI Weeks resort, the stay must be for seven days.

RCI Points members can use their point in RCI Points resorts for nightly stays, so it is not necessary to stay a full week. Not that vacationing for a full week is all that bad (grin), but it is often nice when traveling through a region to be able to limit the stay to a night or two.

Nice choices to have to deal with, huh? Vacationing - such hard work! Not.

RCI Points - Poll of RCI Points owners

I recently took my own poll of persons who own RCI Points and I asked them what they would say is the number one reason they bought RCI Points instead of a traditional one-week timeshare.

The answer:

The ability to get more than one week of vacation our the timeshare, while not increasing the amount they have to pay for maintenance fee. In other words the one annual maintenance fee only entitles use of one week in the traditonal non-points timeshare ownership, whereas by spending the RCI Points wisely, it is easy to get two or more weeks out of that same annual expense.
